Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning Specialist to join our team at Carfair Composites Inc. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of monthly financial statements, performing costing duties, and providing general support to operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and submit monthly financial reporting packages for designated plants, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Journal Entries: Prepare and post monthly journal entries, maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Costing Duties: Perform various costing tasks, including work order review and close, and maintain accurate standard costs in Oracle.
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Conduct regular balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
  • Bank Reconciliations: Monitor and reconcile bank activity to prevent errors and ensure financial accuracy.
  • Customer Collections: Manage customer collections, ensuring timely payment and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Reporting: Prepare weekly reports on key metrics, providing insights into financial performance.
  • Variance Investigation: Investigate and resolve variances in financial data, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Ad-Hoc Reports: Assist with the preparation of ad-hoc reports and projects for finance and operations, as needed.
  • Internal Controls: Enforce internal controls over financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Tax Reports: Prepare required tax reports, ensuring timely submission and accuracy.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Software Skills: Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX and Oracle is desired.
  • Office Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to set priorities and organize workloads effectively.
  • Manufacturing Environment: Ability to function within a manufacturing environment, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
  • Physical Requirements: Office physical requirements include sitting, standing, and walking.
