Job Title: Medical Care Specialist - Clinic Setting

Overview:

As a Medical Care Specialist working in a clinic setting, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care working directly with a licensed physician. This position offers an opportunity to provide comprehensive medical services, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to improving healthcare outcomes for patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be part of the multidisciplinary team to provide consultations for patients experiencing acute and/or chronic pain secondary to musculoskeletal dysfunction.
  • Complete assessments and diagnose patients' conditions.
  • Manage patients' acute and chronic pain, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and recommend procedures.
  • Refer patients to specialists and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with a specialist physician.
  • Provide health education to patients and families in collaboration with a specialist physician.
  • Provide patients with continuity of care between and after procedures.
  • Participate in Interdisciplinary rounds conducted daily to discuss goals and treatment plans.
  • Maintain the strictest level of confidentiality and privacy.
  • Maintain and appropriately use EMR and Clinic systems and databases.
  • Follow clinic practices and procedures, providing feedback for improvements.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a recognized Physician Assistant program.
  • Current registration and licensure as a Physician Assistant with the College of Physicians and Surgeons.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in a primary care or specialty clinic setting.
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, with the ability to formulate and implement treatment plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach to care.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) and other healthcare technology.
