Cowater International is a leading global development consulting company seeking a Full-time Bilingual Financial Manager to join its Hybrid Finance Team. Job Summary

The Bilingual Financial Manager will be responsible for reviewing various projects, ensuring financial administration according to project contracts, verifying and coding international travel expense reports, and preparing bank reconciliations. They will also prepare financial reports as required under the contracts with Clients, including quarterly and annual financial reports, budget variance reports, and statements of eligible expenditures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monthly review of various projects: financial administration of active projects according to project contracts, verification and coding of international travel expense reports, review of project expense reports and transactions from field offices overseas, preparation of bank reconciliation(s) for project bank account(s), and preparation of financial reports as required under the contracts with Clients.
  • Close monitoring of expenditures against project budgets, working with Project Managers to prepare modifications to budgets and sub-project budgets, and managing and administering project-specific advance funds.
Requirements
  • An undergraduate university degree in accounting or a related field, with CPA designation considered an asset.
  • Fluently bilingual in English and French, with excellent computer skills specifically with Excel, ability to manage and complete numerous tasks with a high degree of organization, and knowledge of GAAP reporting considered an asset.
Employment Conditions

This is a full-time permanent opportunity with a salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, located in Ottawa or Montreal, Canada. Candidates must already have a valid work permit in Canada.
