Job Summary

G.A.S. Global is seeking a highly skilled Seed Lab Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Agronomic Research team, you will be responsible for supporting the sorting, cleaning, and shipping of canola harvest samples. Your expertise will also be utilized in hand-harvesting of canola and soybean plots for testing and seed purification purposes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sort and clean incoming canola seed sample shipments to ensure high-quality results.
  • Prepare canola samples for lab testing by cleaning and packaging them.
  • Ship packaged canola samples to our research facilities.
  • Participate in hand-harvesting of canola and soybean plots to collect samples for testing.
  • Operate small stationary threshing equipment to process harvested seed.
  • Clean, sort, treat, and package harvested seed for distribution.
  • Assist in preparing shipments of packaged seed for delivery.
  • Contribute to end-of-season cleanup and inventory management.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate ability to concentrate for extended periods during repetitive tasks.
  • Exhibit a willingness to learn quickly and work independently.
  • Display a flexible attitude and ability to adapt to new procedures.

Additional Information

  • Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Estimated Salary: $12.00 to $22.00 per hour based on qualifications.
