Job Summary

G.A.S. Global is seeking a highly skilled Seed Lab Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Agronomic Research team, you will be responsible for supporting the sorting, cleaning, and shipping of canola harvest samples. Your expertise will also be utilized in hand-harvesting of canola and soybean plots for testing and seed purification purposes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sort and clean incoming canola seed sample shipments to ensure high-quality samples for lab testing.
  • Package and ship canola samples to our research facilities.
  • Assist in hand-harvesting of canola and soybean plots for testing and seed purification purposes.
  • Operate small stationary threshing equipment to prepare seed samples for testing.
  • Clean, sort, treat, and package harvested seed to meet quality standards.
  • Prepare shipments of packaged seed for distribution.
  • Assist in end-of-season cleanup and inventory management.

  • Ability to concentrate for sustained periods of time during repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently.
  • Flexible attitude and ability to adapt to new procedures.
