Neuroscience Assistant Professor Position

The University of Lethbridge invites applications for a Tenure-Track position in neuroscience at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin July 1, 2025, subject to budgetary approval. The successful applicant will have a Ph.D. in Neuroscience or a cognate field and will be able to instruct undergraduate and graduate courses in neuroscience.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and maintain an independent, active, and externally funded research program.
- Develop a research program focusing on mechanisms underlying normal or disordered complex processes, including memory, perception, movement, action, social behavior, emotion, and/or neurodevelopment in nonhuman animals and/or humans.
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in neuroscience and contribute to the department's programs and curriculum development.
- Ph.D. in Neuroscience or a cognate field.
- Demonstrated excellence in research on cerebral function across the life span, in humans and/or nonhuman animals, with a systems-level approach, utilizing state-of-the-art imaging methods, especially MRI or in vivo optical imaging.
- Ability to instruct undergraduate and graduate courses in neuroscience.
