Compensation Package
This role offers a competitive salary of approximately $90,000 to $110,000 per annum, based on location and experience.
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst - Debt Structuring Specialist to join our team in the M&A and Capital Markets practice. As a key member of our advisory team, you will be responsible for participating in a range of capital raising assignments concurrently, assuming responsibility for the day-to-day execution and delivery of services on projects. Your key responsibilities will include underwriting, structuring, and documentation of credit requests, analyzing complex customer financial, organizational, and credit information, and preparing credit write-ups for presentation to clients and management. You will also conduct market and industry research, detailed financial analysis, and business valuations, identify relevant business, market, and other commercial risks faced by customers, and make recommendations to approve or decline transactions based on credit quality, business risk, and market needs. In addition, you will support senior colleagues in specific debt advisory transaction-related activities, operate in a regulated environment, adhere to all regulatory and compliance requirements, ensure quality of client deliverables, and be entrepreneurial in nature to drive growth and practice management in our growing team.
Key Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or related field, CA or CPA certification preferred but not required. You must have a minimum of 2 years' experience at a bank, credit fund, or reputable advisory firm with demonstrable debt structuring and transaction experience. Excellent financial modeling skills in Excel, with a good foundation of building and working with operational and/or finance models, including analyzing business forecasts, evaluating scenario analysis, and covenant calculations, are essential. You will also need to understand and be able to determine appropriate capital structures using a range of debt market products, review and critically assess transaction materials, have a strong appreciation of debt market trends and financing instruments, possess strong analytical and credit analysis skills, and be proficient in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Finally, you will need excellent written and verbal communication skills that help represent diverse communities and experience in working with diverse teams.
