Job Title: Engineering Student

PCL Constructors Canada Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Student to join our team in Toronto, Ontario. As an Engineering Student, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by coordinating drawings, conducting trade quote reviews, participating in project meetings, and conducting deficiency walks.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating drawings and conducting trade quote reviews
  • Participating in project meetings and conducting deficiency walks
  • Inputting and updating deficiency logs, issuing warranties, and taking progress photos
  • Updating field drawings and producing as-built drawings
  • Performing quantity takeoffs, coordinating sub-trade work, and verifying site conditions
  • Supervising sub-trade work, setting up and maintaining record keeping, and layout site lines and grades using total station
  • Updating project schedules, creating manual schedules, and creating and updating schedules using Primavera P6 EPPM software
  • Obtaining scheduling information from sub-trades and creating and maintaining graphical scheduling using AutoCAD
  • Monitoring workforce productivity

Qualifications:

  • Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a construction environment and prior field construction experience will be considered an asset
  • Application of various computer software programs will be required, including word processing, spreadsheet applications, and drafting
