The Opportunity

We are seeking an Investment Associate to join our highly successful six-person investment team in our Vancouver office. The team is focused on delivering investment guidance and services tailored to high-net-worth individuals and families. As an Investment Associate, you will provide comprehensive support to our Investment Advisors, helping to deepen existing relationships and welcome new clients to the firm.

Responsibilities

  • Provide proactive advice and support to clients and Investment Advisors throughout the wealth management process.
  • Help deepen existing relationships and welcome new clients to the firm.
  • Identify new opportunities and help grow the business by supporting the advisory team with new client acquisition.
  • Enter trades, including managing large-scale, spreadsheet-based trade facilitation.
  • Support with portfolio rebalancing, being mindful of client objectives, risk tolerance, and tax consequences.
  • Organize client meetings and reviews by determining agenda and key topics, prepare documentation, execute post-meeting work, and attend client meetings when required.
  • Respond to client account inquiries and take ownership of follow-ups.
  • Identify opportunities for asset consolidation and referrals across the existing client base.
  • Conduct ongoing research on markets and investments and provide regular updates to the advisory team.
  • Support both the advisory team and clients throughout the wealth management process.
  • Coordinate activities with internal wealth management specialists, manage documentation, track progress, and follow up.
  • Provide administrative support when necessary.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience within the investment industry.
  • Registered in good standing as a Registered Representative with CIRO.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • A team player with a clear vision of what is required to be part of a high-performing team.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Detail-oriented, delivering high-quality work.
  • Disciplined, driven, and operates with a high level of accountability.
