About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Investment Business Development Associate to join our team at Scotiabank. As an Investment Business Development Associate, you will play a critical role in supporting the growth and development of our investment business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Work closely with Investment Specialists to identify and pursue new business opportunities, develop and implement business plans, and build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the Investment Specialists, including data entry, record-keeping, and other tasks as required.
  • Client Service: Deliver exceptional client service, responding to client inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to achieve business objectives.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Education: Post-secondary degree in business or a related field, or equivalent working experience.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a business development or administrative role, preferably in the financial services industry.
