At ISHER TRANSPORT LTD, we are currently seeking an experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team.

About the Job

We are looking for a professional truck driver to transport goods and materials across various routes. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of cargo.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive long-haul trucks, often as part of a two-person team or convoy, to transport goods and materials.
  • Load and unload goods from trailers, taking care to secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit.
  • Obtain necessary permits and documentation to transport cargo on international routes.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections to ensure optimal operating condition, including checking tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, overseeing all aspects of vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Record vital information such as cargo details, hours worked, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Maintain tarping and ensure the safety and security of cargo during transportation.
About You

To succeed in this role, you should possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and be comfortable working independently or as part of a team. Experience with heavy goods transportation is highly desirable.

A valid commercial driver's license (CDL) and clean driving record are required. You must also have knowledge of local traffic regulations and laws governing the transportation industry.

This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week, with opportunities for overtime based on business needs.

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is approximately $60,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This figure is based on national averages for similar positions within the transportation industry.
