Salary and Benefits

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently across various locations. Key duties include:

  • Customer Service: Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner
  • Vehicle Operations: Operate straight or articulated trucks, oversee vehicle condition, and perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload goods with care and attention to detail
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
  • Communication: Relay information to central dispatch and receive payments for goods
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • A valid driver's license
  • Experience with long-haul trucking (7 months to less than 1 year)
  • Efficient interpersonal skills
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Judgement and reliability
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
