Senior Operations Manager, Data Management

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Operations Manager, Data Management to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our Operations Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our data management processes.
Key Responsibilities- Data Quality and Integrity: Ensure the accuracy and reliability of our data by implementing quality control measures and processes.
- Custodian Integration: Integrate new custodians into our daily reconciliation feed, mapping data, building rules, and workflows.
- Operations Support: Provide day-to-day support for operations processes, including report generation, pricing, reconciliation, and corporate actions.
- Master Data and Transactional Systems: Maintain and adapt master data and transactional systems to meet new business needs and quality control standards.
- Ad Hoc Tasks: Assist the Operations team with ad hoc tasks, such as data entry, reporting, data quality assurance, data mining, and system testing.
- Reconciliation Systems: Maintain reconciliation systems, verify readiness for morning reconciliation, and run daily automated reconciliation processes.
- Process Improvement: Design and develop rules to improve automated reconciliation and data processes.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in a similar role, with extensive knowledge of Excel, databases, and technical environments such as Advent, StatPro, and Bloomberg.
- Language: Bilingual in English and French, with excellent communication skills.
