Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across various locations, working as part of a two-person team or convoy, and ensuring the safe and secure transportation of cargo.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Load and unload goods
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Perform brake adjustments
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods
Requirements
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks)
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Citizens band (CB) radio
  • Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment
  • Basic security clearance
  • Criminal record check
  • Driver's validity licence check
  • Driving record check (abstract)
  • Medical exam
Work Environment

As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, requiring you to be flexible, organized, and able to work well under pressure. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe and secure transportation of cargo, as well as maintaining the condition of the vehicle.
