Bar Attendant

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bar Attendant to join our team at Skye Avenue - Kitchen & Lounge. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless experience for our patrons.
Key Responsibilities- Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean and maintain the bar area, including washing glassware and ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
- Drink Service: Provide recommendations on drink selections, take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons, and prepare mixed drinks, wine, draft or bottled beer, and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Inventory Management: Order bar stock and maintain inventory and control of bar stock to ensure efficient operations.
- Staff Support: Train staff and provide guidance on drink preparation and service.
- Client Focus: Demonstrate a strong client focus and provide exceptional customer service.
- Interpersonal Skills: Possess efficient interpersonal skills and excellent oral communication.
- Organizational Skills: Display organized and methodical approach to work.
- Team Player: Work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve common goals.
- Cultural Competency: Provide cultural competency training and awareness to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees.
- Mentorship: Offer mentorship programs that pair newcomers and refugees with experienced employees.
- Language Support: Support newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition and language training.
- Cultural Awareness: Provide cultural awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
Work Environment: This is a permanent position with a 40-hour workweek. The work language is English.
