The York University K2I Academy is seeking a Program Mentor Lead to support the planning and delivery of STEM programming for students in Kindergarten to Grade 12. This role will involve designing hands-on STEM activities, facilitating STEM research project activities, and delivering high-quality mentorship and support to Program Mentors in the Bringing STEM to Life: Work-Integrated Learning programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement hands-on STEM activities for students in Kindergarten to Grade 12
  • Facilitate STEM research project activities and provide guidance and support to students
  • Deliver high-quality mentorship and support to Program Mentors in the Bringing STEM to Life: Work-Integrated Learning programs
  • Collaborate with the K2I Academy team to plan and deliver STEM programming
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including students, parents, and community partners

Requirements:

  • Current or recent undergraduate student
  • Experience working with youth
  • Previous experience working in a research lab is an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google G Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Students in undergraduate science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) programs of study
