Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Hepburn Engineering Inc. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems, conducting research, and supervising the installation of mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research into the feasibility, design, operation, and performance of mechanisms, components, and systems
- Design power plants, machines, and equipment
- Supervise and inspect the installation of mechanical systems
- Investigate mechanical failures or unexpected maintenance problems
- Plan and manage projects, and prepare material, cost, and timing estimates, reports, and design specifications for machinery and systems
- Prepare contract documents and evaluate tenders for industrial construction or maintenance
- Commission systems and components
- Prepare material cost and timing estimates, reports, and design specifications
- Communicate technical problems, processes, and solutions
- Design and develop marine vessels and floating structures and associated marine power plants, propulsion systems, and related systems and equipment
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association
- Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association
- Proficiency in ANASYS, AutoCAD, MS Office, Teamcenter, MS Excel, and Microsoft Visio
- Experience with hydraulic components, 3D pantographs, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems
- Knowledge of finite element analysis (FEA), installation, maintenance, and inspection of equipment or facilities, project management, design, specification, or technical writing, and engineering professional and construction management (EPCM)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
