Job Title: Tile Setter

We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team at Canada Ltd. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for preparing, measuring, and marking surfaces to be covered with tile. You will also mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using a hand trowel. Additionally, you will set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base, align and straighten tiles, cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools, pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout, remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles, lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs, and build underbeds and install anchor bolts, wires, and brackets. You will also mix, lay, and polish terra surfaces and install tile strips.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered with tile
  • Mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using a hand trowel
  • Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base
  • Align and straighten tiles
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools
  • Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout
  • Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles
  • Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs
  • Build underbeds and install anchor bolts, wires, and brackets
  • Mix, lay, and polish terra surfaces
