Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Specialist to join our team at Propak Energy Services. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our gas processing facilities.

About the Role

This position requires a strong understanding of refrigeration systems and a keen eye for detail. You will work closely with our maintenance team to identify and resolve mechanical issues, as well as perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine maintenance on refrigeration systems to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Identify and diagnose mechanical issues with refrigeration equipment, working closely with the maintenance team to implement repairs.
  • Perform start-ups and shutdowns of refrigeration systems, following established procedures to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Test and verify system operation, using gauges and instruments to ensure accurate readings.
  • Adjust valves and charge systems with proper refrigerant types, following manufacturer specifications.
  • Dismantle malfunctioning systems and test components, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop and implement process improvements, reducing downtime and improving efficiency.
  • Analyze system performance data to identify trends and opportunities for optimization.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in the natural gas processing and/or compression servicing industry.
  • Excellent administration, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision, taking initiative to address complex problems.
  • Strong customer service skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional results.
  • Ability to work extended hours, including overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hold a valid recognized Alberta Journeyperson Trade Certificate or a recognized trade certificate or equivalency document.
  • Inter-Provincial Red Seal Certificate is preferred.
  • 5 years of directly related work experience.
