Job Title: Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled and experienced truck driver to join our team at American Iron and Metals (AIM). As a truck driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a 4-axle truck and transporting goods across various routes, including the North Shore, lower river, and Montreal areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a 4-axle truck safely and efficiently
  • Make long-distance trips and navigate through various terrains
  • Use different types of trailers, including dumper, boiler, and carcass trailers
  • Respect highway codes and regulations
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Maintain equipment cleanliness and good condition
  • Keep records up to date
Qualifications:
  • Valid Class 1 driving license
  • Good driving record
  • At least 1 year of experience as a driver
  • Experience on roll-off trailers (an asset)
Skills:
  • Health and Safety Awareness
  • Sense of organization and responsibility
  • Excellent physical condition
  • Reliability, diligence, and punctuality
  • Good road knowledge of the province of Quebec
  • Respect for equipment and tools
  • Customer service skills
Work Environment:
  • Permanent and full-time position
  • 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Possibility of working overtime
  • Overtime paid at time and a half after 40 hours
