About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Millwright Mechanic to join our team at PepsiCo Beverages. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain equipment in a satisfactory condition for safe operation
  • Execute preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and optimize production
  • Perform equipment repairs as needed to ensure minimal disruption to operations
  • Install new equipment and systems to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to optimize running settings
  • Interact daily with computerized maintenance and parts programs to ensure accurate tracking and reporting
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement process improvements
  • Recommend changes and improvements to plant equipment, facilities, and procedures to enhance overall efficiency
  • Work with outside contractors and other trades to complete projects and tasks
  • Operate and change over equipment as required to meet production demands
  • Perform all assigned duties in a safe and productive manner, adhering to company policies and procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and healthy working environment

Requirements

  • Must hold a valid Red Seal Industrial Mechanic / Millwright license with a certificate of Qualification
  • Experience in the beverage/food/packaged goods industry is preferred
  • Must be skilled in the use of machine shop equipment, including lathes, mills, and grinders
  • Must be able to lift/carry 50-85 lbs and push/pull up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to perform frequent standing, bending, twisting, crawling, kneeling, squatting, climbing, reaching, and grasping
  • Must be able to work on computers and iPads
  • Must be available to work overtime and flexible with regards to shifts, with notice provided if a shift change is necessary
  • Must be able to work night shifts or weekend shifts as required
