As a key member of the Amazon Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) mission, this individual will play a crucial role in promoting a positive culture while maintaining a safe work environment.

The WHS Specialist will be responsible for coordinating and implementing all areas of the Amazon Global Program as directed by leadership. This includes conducting trainings and coaching associates on observed work habits, maintaining accurate daily, weekly, and monthly metrics to report to onsite management teams and corporate based reporting systems, and supporting management efforts to ensure compliance with all corporate program expectations and applicable federal and state laws.

A strong understanding of workplace health and safety principles, policies, and procedures is essential for this role. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in a related field, a high school diploma or equivalent, and proficiency in Microsoft Word. Knowledge of Canadian OHS Provincial Laws is also a must.

Beyond these core requirements, we welcome candidates who bring additional skills and qualifications to the table, including experience in emergency response, worker's compensation case management, and ergonomics.
