Thompson Bros. (CONSTR.) LP seeks a skilled Parts Supply Specialist to join our team in Fort McMurray. As an essential member of our operations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the availability of essential parts and supplies for our heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with corporate health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Look up requested parts, determine their availability, and provide them to mechanics in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate the daily ordering of shop supplies and inventory replenishment, as well as special orders.
  • Maintain a high level of current product knowledge.
  • Unload/load and verify shipments, including supplies and stock orders, in their proper inventory locations.
  • Act as a liaison between the shop and suppliers to source and purchase required parts.
  • Coordinate returns and credits efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate part warehouse inventory and ensure accuracy in inventory tracking.
  • Ensure all parts, commodities, and shop supplies are kept at required levels.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience in Parts Department operations.
  • Previous experience working with CAT, John Deere, Hitachi, and Komatsu is required.
  • Previous experience with Heavy Truck and Trailer is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with electronic online ordering and parts lookup.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management, and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Well-organized and familiar with inventory management.
  • Possess a valid Class 5 driver's license.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to work in the Ft McMurray area and live in remote camps, working a rotational schedule.
  • CSTS/OSSA or BSO Certification.
  • Good health and physical condition to perform duties assigned.
  • Ability to pass a pre-access drug and alcohol test.
