Job Title: Truck Driver - Long Haul

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver - Long Haul to join our team at AG Sandhu Transport Ltd. As a Truck Driver - Long Haul, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials over long distances, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
  • Load and unload goods
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Perform brake adjustments
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods

Requirements:

  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
