Job Summary

YG Truck And TOW is seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer combination and transporting goods and materials over various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Load and unload goods
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Perform brake adjustments
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
Requirements
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • Defensive Driving Course
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Professional Driver Improvement Certificate
  • Basic security clearance
  • Bondable
  • Criminal record check
  • Driver's validity licence check
  • Driving record check (abstract)
  • Drug test
  • Medical exam
Work Environment

As a Truck Driver, you will be working in a fast-paced environment with varying weather conditions. You will be required to work independently and as part of a team to ensure the safe transportation of goods and materials.
