Job Summary

The Regional Center Services Manager is responsible for the effective and efficient management and coordination of center-wide services, including facilities-related issues, operational initiatives, infection control processes, volunteer services, and emergency preparedness plans. This role provides leadership and promotes the philosophy and goals of the organization by applying and evaluating standards, policies, practices, and procedures to the assigned areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide center leadership through the consultation and coordination of various administrative and operational activities, working closely with clinical staff to identify improvements.
  • Develop and implement departmental and organizational goals and objectives, policies, and procedures, and coordinate center-level systems and strategies to enable effective operations.
  • Lead center-wide initiatives and projects that cross various programs and services, developing project plans and incorporating change management approaches, communication strategies, and monitoring progress to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain support services functions, coordinate renovations, facility improvements, and space planning.
  • Provide operational center leadership for Emergency Management and Preparedness, addressing issues, policies, and education across the center, preparing agendas, and co-chairing the center emergency management committee.

Requirements

  • A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in a Healthcare-related field.
  • Five (5) years of recent related experience, including two (2) years in a managerial/leadership capacity.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Proven leadership ability, with communication and interpersonal skills conducive to interacting in a multidisciplinary environment and ability to relate easily to a variety of people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and promote teamwork.
  • Critical thinking skills and proven ability to effectively manage human and fiscal resources.
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience of operational planning and program development.
  • Awareness of and commitment to learning and understanding the Truth & Reconciliation Commission's 94 Calls to Action (2015), In Plain Sight Report (2020), BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019), and other related reports.
  • Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act.
  • Knowledge of social, economic, political, and historical realities impacting Indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism and accompanying reports (BC DRIPA, TRC, etc.).
