About the Job

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Landscape Labourer to join our team at Avara Landscaping & Property Care. As a key member of our outdoor maintenance team, you will be responsible for assisting with landscape constructions, tying and securing plants, and performing various other tasks related to lawn care and gardening.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with landscape constructions, including planting, pruning, and trimming trees and plants.
  • Tie and secure plants, ensuring they are properly anchored and stable.
  • Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants to maintain a neat and tidy appearance.
  • Cut grass and perform other lawn care tasks as needed.
  • Rake and collect refuse, removing litter and garbage from the work site.
  • Cart and spread topsoil and other materials as required.
  • Lay sod or seed, and plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees.
  • Apply fertilizers and other treatments to promote healthy plant growth.
  • Write daily basic progress reports to keep management informed of your activities.
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens, ensuring they receive adequate care and attention.
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment, including chain saws, forklifts, and other machinery.
Requirements
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Experience with chain saws, forklifts, and other equipment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labour tasks
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
