Ruby on Rails Developer Opportunity at Quantum Technology Recruiting Inc.

We are seeking an experienced Ruby on Rails developer to join our dynamic team at Quantum Technology Recruiting Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Ruby on Rails development and experience with React and Go.

About the Role:

  • This is a 6-month contract position with the potential for extension.
  • The role requires working on various projects, including data auditing and quality improvements, internal tool development, and special projects.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, maintainable code and collaborating with the team to clarify requirements and report progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Data Auditing and Quality Improvements:
  • Perform offline audits on large datasets to identify and resolve discrepancies between data sources.
  • Develop tools for human auditing, including React-based front-end interfaces and RPC APIs for storing and retrieving results.
  • Design and develop dashboards to analyze data and identify quality improvement opportunities.
Internal Tool Development and Support:
  • Develop connectors to integrate retailer APIs for onboarding store catalog data.
  • Write programs to retrieve, transform, and upload catalog data compatible with Instacart systems.
  • Update and enhance internal systems supporting customer care agents.
  • Support and modify payment processing systems, including refund handling and payment method updates.
Special Projects:
  • Implement logic for calculating and automating payment incentives for shoppers based on order weights.
  • Enhance and modify existing systems to accommodate new business rules and policies.

Requirements:

  • Must-Have:
    • Strong experience with Ruby on Rails (at least 2+ years).
    • Ability to independently handle feature requests, execute them, and resolve bugs.
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Experience with React and Go.
    • Familiarity with data engineering or data analytics projects.
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Self-sufficient, proactive, and adaptable.
    • Strong communication skills; must be comfortable asking questions and collaborating dynamically.
    • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects effectively.
