Nurse - Intensive Case Management Team (RN/RPN)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) to join our Intensive Case Management Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health nursing and experience working with clients with substance use issues.
Key qualifications include:
- Graduation from a recognized nursing program
- Minimum of two years adult or child/youth mental health and substance use (MHSU) nursing experience
- Experience supporting clients with substance use issues in a community setting
- Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant or a practicing RPN registrant
- Current CPR certification
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. They will also have a strong understanding of the Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) model and be able to apply case management methodologies, including motivational interviewing.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate client care
- Administer and monitor the side effects of psychotropic medications
- Work independently in a community setting
- Work effectively and cooperatively in a team environment
- Practice initiative, good interpersonal, crisis intervention, leadership, and teaching skills
- Manage aggressive behavior and use non-violent crisis intervention and behavioral management techniques
- Adapt and accept change as the program evolves
- Perform physical duties of the job
- Operate related equipment
