Respiratory Therapist

Fraser Health is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Burnaby Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients, working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and technical respiratory care to patients, including initiation and education of patients on prescribed inhaled medications, breathing monitoring tools, and mechanical ventilation.
- Maintain accurate documentation of treatments, equipment settings, and patient observations.
- Perform cardio-respiratory physiological measurements and calculations, invasive and non-invasive, as required.
- Assist with inservice education sessions on respiratory care and related equipment to nursing, medical, and other hospital personnel.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program and successful completion of the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care credentialing exam are required. Eligibility for membership with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) and British Columbia Society of Respiratory Therapists (BCSRT) is also required. Current CPR Certificate, Professional Level C, and Neonatal Resuscitation program certification are necessary.
