Job Description

A-1 Muffler & Tires is seeking an Apprentice Motor Vehicle Mechanic to join our team. As an apprentice, you will work under the guidance of our experienced technicians to develop your skills and knowledge in motor vehicle repair and maintenance.

Tasks
  1. Confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit
  2. Inspect mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
  3. Inspect motor in operation
  4. Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
  5. Repair or replace mechanical units or components
  6. Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
  7. Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements
  8. Complete reports to record problems and work performed
  9. Provide customer service
