Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and physically capable Material Handler to assist in the receipt, storage, and shipment of goods. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, be able to work efficiently in a team environment, and possess a strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload goods from trucks, trailers, and other vehicles, using manual or mechanical equipment as needed.
  • Inventory Management: Accurately receive, store, and ship goods, maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring that all goods are properly labeled and stored.
  • Material Handling: Operate a variety of equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling devices, to move goods throughout the warehouse.
  • Order Fulfillment: Pick and pack orders, ensuring that all goods are accurately selected and packaged for shipment.
  • Quality Control: Inspect goods for damage or defects, and report any issues to management.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other warehouse staff to achieve team goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Work Setting: Retail/wholesale establishment/distribution centre.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, tight deadlines, physically demanding, attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, bending, crouching, kneeling.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Adaptability, creativity, efficiency, energetic, hardworking, positive attitude, proactive, time management, reliability, team player, client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, organized, flexibility.
