About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team at CAE Inc. As a key member of our Data Engineering team, you will play a critical role in shaping our data strategy and architecture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable data pipeline architecture to support business growth and innovation.
  • Define and deploy data engineering best practices and standards to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Provide technical leadership to a team of data engineers, guiding them in the development of analytics tools and data pipelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, automating manual processes and optimizing data delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying your knowledge to drive innovation and improvement within the organization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of industry experience in data engineering, coding, and scripting.
  • Proven experience in leading development teams and driving technical innovation.
  • Strong knowledge of CS fundamentals, algorithms, and data structures.
  • Experience with big data tools, relational SQL and NoSQL databases, and automated data pipeline management tools.
  • Experience with Microsoft cloud services and stream-processing systems.
