We are seeking a highly organized and skilled Procurement Specialist to manage our inventory control processes. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for procuring goods, managing inventory levels, and ensuring timely delivery of products to our customers.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders, including suppliers, internal teams, and external partners.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing purchasing records, tracking stock transfers, and adjusting inventory levels as needed
- Coordinating buying activities across different branches within assigned regions and specialty product groups
- Supporting specialty groups in processing and inventory control management, identifying opportunities to leverage sales between groups
- Engaging with vendors to resolve shipment errors, return merchandise authorizations, and claim back procedures
- Administering and supporting inventory cycle counts and yearly inventory count for assigned regions
As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our inventory management processes. We are looking for someone who is a strong problem solver, a critical thinker, and a detail-oriented individual who can follow guidelines and meet standards.
You will work collaboratively with our team to drive business growth, improve efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction.
RequirementsTo succeed in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 2+ years' experience in a similar procurement or inventory management role
- Experience working with an ERP system
- Proficiency with vendor, purchase order systems, and Microsoft Office
