Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance work on machinery, detecting and troubleshooting irregularities and malfunctions, and repairing or replacing defective machinery parts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance work on machinery
  • Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions

  • Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up
  • Operate machining tools to fabricate parts
  • Program programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
  • Installing machinery and equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
Requirements:
  • Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Red Seal Endorsement
  • Experience with automated and robotic systems, conveyor systems, electrical and electronic controls, fans and blowers, high-speed packaging equipment, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, power tools, pumps and compressors, welding equipment, and hand tools
  • Ability to work at heights, in noisy environments, and with odours
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
