Job Summary

The Dietary Worker is a key member of our food service team, responsible for ensuring the highest quality of meal service to our residents. This role requires a strong focus on resident satisfaction, safe food handling practices, and maintaining a clean and sanitized environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve meals to residents, adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Portion and plate meals accurately, ensuring presentation is appealing and meets resident preferences.
  • Collaborate with the care services team to meet resident needs and preferences.
  • Evaluate meal service quality, including portions, palatability, and waste, and communicate results to the cook.
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized environment, adhering to safety and sanitation standards.
  • Operate a point-of-sale system and handle cash transactions in a café retail environment.
Requirements

Education and Experience

Previous customer service and/or food service experience is preferred. Ability to communicate fluently in English, with bilingual or multilingual skills a plus. Comfort with using technology, including web-based software, keyboard, and telephone headset.

Skills and Abilities

Ability to stay calm under pressure, flexibility, and adaptability to change. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on resident satisfaction.
