About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our Data Analytics team. As a Data Scientist, you will play a key role in supporting our Commercial Guest Loyalty and Personalization initiatives by building and deploying AI/ML solutions.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop data science prototypes that support strategic priorities. This will involve applying NLP techniques to process unstructured data, feature engineering and model tuning to optimize model performance, and designing and implementing production model enhancements.
You will also work closely with our Data Engineering team to ensure that our data science prototypes are production-ready and meet our technical standards.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop data science prototypes to support Guest Loyalty, Customer Experience, CRM, Clienteling, and Digital teams.
- Apply NLP techniques to process unstructured data and generate insights to improve guest experience and operational efficiency.
- Feature engineering and model tuning to optimize model performance for sentiment, classification, propensity, segmentation, and other guest-specific use cases.
- Design and implement production model enhancements to address the changing needs of the business.
- Collaborate with Governance leaders and ensure alignment with enterprise practices.
- Follow Four Seasons' delivery methodologies and documentation standards.
- University degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or substantial coursework in a relevant quantitative field.
- 1-3 years of working experience in Machine Learning, Data Mining, and Statistics.
- Strong foundation in math and statistics.
- Proficient in analyzing large datasets to identify patterns and draw actionable insights.
- Project management skills, including organizing and managing processes and expectations, and delivering on key deadlines.
- Cloud computing experience, particularly with MS Azure (Databricks, Synapse, Data Factory, Data Lake, Blob Storage).
- Programming skills in SQL, Python, PySpark, SparkSQL, Scala, and R for solution delivery.
- Data wrangling expertise, including structuring, cleansing, merging, enriching, validating, and publishing data for discovery and use case development.
- Integration knowledge, including Databricks/Azure orchestration tools and experience automating ML scripts into Data Factory and ML pipelines.
- ML optimization skills, including optimizing ML model training scripts to reduce runtime and resource usage.
- Automation experience, including automating predictive model validation, deployment, and implementation processes.
- CI/CD familiarity, including Azure DevOps and GitHub.
- NLP techniques, including deploying and optimizing NLP models for large-scale text analysis.
- Data visualization experience, including Power BI and Tableau.
