Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This includes planning and leading activities, supervising staff, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers to ensure a safe and healthy environment
  • Lead activities that promote learning and development, such as storytelling, singing, and outdoor play
  • Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in maintaining records and reports
  • Encourage children to express creativity through art, music, and physical activity
  • Guide children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents or guardians
  • Establish guidelines for behavior and maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers
Requirements:
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • 1-2 years of experience in early childhood education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
