Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Elite Daycare. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to our young students.

Job Summary:

The Early Childhood Educator will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This includes planning and implementing child-care programs, leading activities, and assisting early childhood educators in carrying out programs.

Responsibilities:
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Storytelling, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest
  • Assist early childhood educators in keeping records
  • Encourage children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
  • Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings
  • Establish guidelines for behavior
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
Requirements:
  • Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE)
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Criminal record check
  • Medical exam
  • Immunization records
  • Tuberculosis test
  • Vulnerable sector check
Work Environment:

This is a physically demanding role that requires a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, be punctual, dependable, and a team player.
