**Job Summary**

As a Heavy Duty Cleaning Specialist at FirstService Residential, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our properties to ensure a high level of satisfaction for our clients and guests.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Clean and service restrooms, including restocking supplies and ensuring proper hygiene practices.
  • Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors and stairways to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Collect and dispose of rubbish and waste materials in a responsible and efficient manner.
  • Conduct regular inspections of premises and equipment to identify areas for improvement and report any necessary repairs or maintenance.
  • Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces to maintain a high level of cleanliness and appearance.
  • Perform grounds maintenance, including cleaning parking lots and removing litter and debris.
  • Load and unload supplies, and move heavy furniture and equipment as needed.
  • Replace light bulbs and fuses, and perform other minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Assist in the moving of garbage bins and maintain the compactor room.

**Requirements:**

  • Knowledge of standard methods, practices, tools, and equipment of the janitorial service.
  • Ability to follow instructions and operate janitorial tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety rules and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
