Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunication Line Technician to join our team at Maple AV Inc. As a key member of our installation and maintenance team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing aerial and underground telephone equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance: Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment, including trunking systems, circuits, and equipment.
  • Testing and Troubleshooting: Test equipment to locate transmission faults and determine the nature, cause, and location of trouble.
  • Repair and Replacement: Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers, and amplifiers, and splice, join, and connect wires.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Teamwork: Work in a multidisciplinary environment and collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent oral communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and ability to distinguish between colors.
  • Equipment: Ability to use and maintain specialized equipment, including coaxial lines, fibre optics, and amplifiers.
Work Environment

This is an on-the-road job that requires working outdoors, at heights, and in confined spaces. The successful candidate must be physically fit and able to work in a variety of weather conditions.
