Job Summary:

The Senior Total Wealth Planner is responsible for delivering comprehensive financial plans to high net worth clients, acting as a subject matter expert and champion for financial planning within Scotia Wealth Management.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Gather key data and information about clients through deep discovery.
  • Prepare, analyze, and review financial plans and client-focused executive summaries.
  • Present financial plans and related strategies.
  • Identify opportunities to deepen relationships and drive business results.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Act as a subject matter expert and champion for financial planning.
  • Provide ongoing professional financial planning advice on complex strategies.
  • Foster and encourage advisors and relationship managers to incorporate financial planning into their business model.
  • Champion the value, benefits, and outcomes of financial planning.

Requirements:

  • University degree.
  • Accredited financial planning designation (IQPF applicable for Quebec).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a high net worth financial planner.
  • Life Insurance license.
  • Canadian Securities Course.
  • Additional estate and/or tax courses.

Language Requirements:

The successful candidate will be required to communicate in English and French due to the need to work closely with other groups from head office and serve an English-speaking clientele.
