About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Store Director to join our team at MATT & NAT. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for leading our store team to achieve sales targets, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Store Operations
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the store, including sales, customer service, and visual merchandising.
- Ensure the store is always adequately stocked and visually appealing.
- Oversee the processing of sales, exchanges, and returns.
- Manage the store's inventory, including receiving and processing shipments.
- Team Management
- Supervise and develop a high-performing team of sales associates and management staff.
- Provide coaching, training, and feedback to team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide opportunities for growth and development.
- Customer Service
- Ensure that all customers receive exceptional service and have a positive shopping experience.
- Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Visual Merchandising
- Develop and implement visual merchandising plans to drive sales and enhance the shopping experience.
- Oversee the maintenance of the store's visual presentation, including displays and fixtures.
- Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare and analyze sales reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Provide regular sales and operational updates to the district manager.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a management role, preferably in the fashion retail environment.
- Proven track record of driving sales and profit growth, as well as training and developing a team.
- Experience in all facets of a retail store environment, including sales, customer service, and visual merchandising.
- Familiarity with reading and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Familiarity with the MATT & NAT brand, company values, and understanding of our vegan beliefs.
- Ability to move and/or lift boxes and fixtures throughout the store.
- Capability to stand for long periods.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and select holidays.
