We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Mechanical Technologist to join our team at Jp2g Consultants Inc. As a key member of our Mechanical Engineering Department, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of mechanical engineering designs for new builds and building renovation projects.
Key Responsibilities- Work under the supervision of a project manager or mechanical engineer to prepare mechanical engineering designs
- Coordinate with clients to ensure their needs are fully understood and met
- Assist in the preparation of technical specifications and contract documents
- Support engineers during design and coordinate with other disciplines
- Prepare CAD or Revit versions of construction as-built drawings
- Establish, maintain, and communicate priorities when working on multiple assignments
- Assist in the monitoring of changes, quality, schedule, and cost adherence
- College Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology
- Eligible for certification with OACETT
- Eligible to obtain and maintain Level II Secret clearance with Public Services and Procurement Canada
- Valid Driver's license
- ISO 9001:2015 Fundamentals Training (provided by Jp2g)
- Willing to work towards C.E.T or C.Tech designation
- Knowledge of other mechanical engineering software: Carrier HAP, HVAC Solution, WaterGEMS
- Knowledge of heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics
- Knowledge of codes and standards such as OBC, NBC, CSA, ASHRAE, TSSA, NMS, and NFPA
- Friday afternoons off year-round (36 hour/week)
