Heavy Equipment Maintenance Specialist

A & A Excavating Ltd. is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our team.
About the JobWe are looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair, hydraulic system diagnosis, and mechanical transmission troubleshooting.
Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required.
- Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts.
- Keep maintenance reports and documentation.
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications.
- Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work.
- Perform repair work on heavy trucks.
- Service attachments and working tools.
- Perform other routine maintenance.
The successful candidate will have expertise in:
- Diesel engine repair, including fuel injection systems, exhaust systems, cooling systems, lubrication systems, and engine control systems.
- Powdered equipment repair, including hydraulic-operated working attachments and compressors.
- Mechanical maintenance and repair, including mechanical transmissions, drive trains, final drives, hydraulic transmissions, tracked vehicle suspensions and steering, off-road vehicle tires and wheels, and differentials.
