About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lab Technician to join our team at the University of Toronto. As a key member of our research group, you will play a vital role in supporting our projects focused on diverse organoid/organ-on-chip technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performing laboratory experiments with precision and attention to detail
  • Providing training and guidance to students and colleagues on laboratory techniques and protocols
  • Contributing to research findings through publication in academic journals
  • Preparing and maintaining laboratory equipment and supplies
  • Ensuring compliance with laboratory safety procedures and standards
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a life science field or related discipline
  • Minimum three years of experience in a laboratory setting, with expertise in human pluripotent stem cell culture and differentiation
  • Experience with microscopy imaging, immunochemistry staining, and assay development documentation
  • Proficiency in bioimaging techniques and laboratory software
  • Strong laboratory management skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related field
  • Experience working in a research or industry environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sectors
  • Proficiency in coding languages such as R or Python
