About the Role:

As a Senior Cloud Financial Governance Specialist, you will play a critical role in driving the design, development, and facilitation of FinOps services, workshops, and engagements at Softchoice.

Client Engagement Activities: You will contribute to service engagements by providing advisory services and thought leadership on FinOps adoption; conducting customer interviews, facilitating workshops, creating customer presentations, and deliveringables.

Industry Leadership: Ensure constant awareness of evolving FinOps & ITFM practices while actively contributing to the FinOps Foundation and community.

Strategic Thinking: Seeing the big picture with the ability to start small and guide customers with strategic, technical, and cultural understanding to continue their innovation independently.

FinOps Business Development: Work directly with existing and potential clients to develop and sell FinOps services and support parallel solutions and services.

Practice Development: Perform the role of a thought leader and coach; provide input and guidance into service development and process improvement.

This role requires a solid understanding of both business and technology strategy, change management, and a principled approach to transformation challenges and opportunities. Our ideal candidate knows their customer industries and businesses and how Softchoice can help drive their transformation toward cloud financial governance. They also share a standard set of characteristics – such as strong leadership and people skills – and bring the experience that drives innovation and customer value.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum five years of experience in IT Finance or consulting in Cloud Advisory & IT Strategy Services, and be a Certified FinOps practitioner
  2. Strong consultative experience within the critical domains that make up IT Finance and Public Cloud Billing and commercial contracts
  3. Knowledgeable and passionate about IT Financial Management (ITFM), Technology Business Management (TBM), and IT Asset Management (ITAM)
  4. Seeking to be an active member of the FinOps Foundation and community
  5. Ability to create client-facing deliverables
  6. Ability to communicate effective presentations and stories to executives and project contributors
  7. Strong communication and collaboration skills with both internal consulting and client teams, including the ability to create and facilitate client workshops
  8. Demonstrated applied experience in establishing and delivering complex projects
