Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Knitting Machine Technician to join our team at Great Canadian Sox Co Inc. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our knitting machines to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance work on knitting machines to prevent breakdowns and ensure smooth operation.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions in knitting machines.
  • Repair or replace defective machinery parts to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
  • Program programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to optimize machine performance.
  • Coach and instruct apprentices in the operation and maintenance of knitting machines.
Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in knitting machine maintenance and repair.
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to relocate for this position.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced production environment with a focus on quality and efficiency. The work site environment is noisy, confined, and dusty.
