Ironworker - Structural Steel Specialist

M K REBAR & LANDSCAPING LTD. is seeking a skilled Ironworker to join our team. As an Ironworker, you will be responsible for erecting and installing scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms. You will also signal crane operators to position units according to blueprints, align, weld, or bolt units in place, and dismantle metal, pre-cast concrete, or laminated timber buildings and other structures.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications, and be able to read and interpret them accurately. You will also be responsible for positioning and securing steel bars or metal mesh in concrete forms to reinforce concrete structures, and unloading and positioning steel units so each piece can be hoisted as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms
  • Signal crane operators to position units according to blueprints
  • Align, weld, or bolt units in place
  • Dismantle metal, pre-cast concrete, or laminated timber buildings and other structures
  • Position and secure steel bars or metal mesh in concrete forms to reinforce concrete structures
  • Unload and position steel units so each piece can be hoisted as needed
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications

Requirements:

  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
  • Permanent employment
  • English language proficiency
  • 40 hours per week
