About the Role

BDO is seeking a seasoned professional to join our Operations Consulting team as a Senior Manager or Director, Operations Improvement Consulting. This role will be responsible for delivering high-quality consulting services to our clients, driving business growth, and contributing to the development of our Strategy and Operations Practice.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Consulting Services: Deliver expert consulting services in various areas, including strategy formulation, business planning, economic development strategies, business architecture, process improvement, change enablement, program/project management, and communication/engagement strategy development.
  2. Client Engagement: Assist with the development of recommendations and presentations for client engagements, and communicate findings to client personnel.
  3. Project Management: Plan, manage, and execute work in conjunction with various engagements, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  4. Team Collaboration: Work closely with senior consultants and collaborate to execute deliverables, and maintain a proactive and logical approach to information gathering.
  5. Industry Expertise: Support the growth of BDO's Strategy and Operations Practice in the GTA, focusing on targeted industries such as Energy & Natural Resources, Financial Services, Public Sector, Manufacturing & Distribution, Not-For-Profit, and Real Estate.
Requirements
  1. Education: Completed a post-secondary degree program, with Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering being an asset.
  2. Experience: Direct experience with Operational Improvement, with a focus on mid-market clients in the manufacturing space.
  3. Skills: Proven analytical skills, systematic problem-solving, and developed oral and written communication skills.
  4. Knowledge: Deep knowledge of Operational Excellence approaches, including Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints, and General Continuous Improvement Practices.
  5. Consulting Experience: Demonstrated understanding of the consulting process, with the ability to build client relationships and sell professional products.
